Important Changes in
2007 - Daylight Savings Time
In 2007, Daylight Savings Time, DST, is changing
and will begin on the second Sunday in March and end on the first Sunday in
November. The U.S. Energy Act of 2005 created this change which was aimed at
reducing energy consumption. This change will make DST for weeks longer and
could also have effects on technology products.
The new DST change will affect computers and applications with date and time
processing functions in the U.S., Canada, and Bermuda, where start and end DST
dates conform to the U.S. changes. This is not a vendor specific issue,
meaning that it affects all computers or software that rely on calendar or
scheduling functions that are dependent on date and time stamps.
It is important that you assess how these changes
could affect your organization and implement updates to ensure a smooth
transition to the new DST schedule. Check your vendor sites for more
information on this.

NNRC Members are going GREEN!
In the fall of 2009, the NNRC Board created the NNRC Green
Commission. This Commission created standards for NNRC member
firms to adopt to become Green Certified to work towards reducing our
impact on the environment. This includes printing on recycled
paper to moving towards electronic invoices and transcript distribution.
This mandate requires ALL NNRC member firms to become Green Certified by
June 2010 to maintain their membership. As of May 4, 2010, 15 firms have

National Network of Reporting Companies Sets the Standard
for a Greener Court Reporting Profession!
The National Network of Reporting Companies (NNRC) has formed a
Green Commission that plans to lead its group of prominent independent
court reporting firms to, collectively, become the first and only green
certified court reporting network in the world. The NNRC Green
Commission is paving the way to create sustainable working environments
and promoting the Green Movement.
“As responsible and concerned
citizens of the world, it is our duty and responsibility to help
preserve and protect our environment for the generations who will
follow. We are fortunate to belong to an organization and
profession that can, and will, have a significant impact in furthering
this fight,” explains William Fredericks of Fredericks Reporting in
Austin, Texas, Chair of the NNRC Green Commission.
CourtRoom Connect to present at NNRC Jackson Hole Meeting
Grover Mundell, President - Litigation Services
